Homework:For daily homework, your child should complete a daily Independent Living task and record it in their log.
In the event your child has any unfinished classwork that they did not complete during the school day, that will be sent home as “homework” to be turned in the following day. |
Independent Living Homework:
Independent Living skills, also known as Functional Academics, are skills that allow students to succeed in life skills at home and in the community. Generalizing learned life skills is so important, especially at this age! Your child will be given a weekly log for them to list any life skill they complete. Please feel free to use the examples given on the log, or write in your own; almost anything can be considered a life skill when we think about fostering independence for our students.
Unfinished Classwork:
Traditional "pencil and paper" homework will only be sent home if there is classwork that your student did not complete. This does not include work we did not get to as a class; only classwork that your student did not complete in class with adequate time given.
